Gran Turismo 7 survey focuses on player progression

A Sony-issued survey about Gran Turismo 7’s player experience covers all topics, but seems heavily focused on progression systems. The post Gran Tur

Sony has pushed out a new survey asking Gran Turismo 7 players how they feel about the game, and while it touches a bit of everything, the weight of the questions lands squarely on progression — how you earn, unlock and grind your way through the car list.

That focus is worth reading into. Progression has been one of GT7’s stickier points since launch: credit payouts, the rate at which cars and events open up, and how much time it takes to actually build a garage. A survey that keeps circling back to those systems suggests Polyphony is at least listening on the topic, even if a survey is a long way from a patch note.

Nothing here is a promise. Sony asks players plenty of things over a game’s lifespan, and not every answer turns into a change. But surveys are also how these studios take the temperature before deciding where to spend development time, so the emphasis on progression is a reasonable signal of what’s on their radar.

Why it matters to sim racers: for a lot of us, GT7 sits in an odd spot — a genuinely capable driving game wrapped in an economy that can feel like a second job. If you’ve ever wanted to spend more time turning laps and less time farming credits for the next car, this is a rare, direct channel to say so. If you play GT7 and have opinions about how it doles out cars and rewards, filling in the survey is the low-effort way to put them in front of the people who can actually act on them. Whether they do is the open question.
