Polyphony Digital has put a date on the first half of Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV update: October 15. Alongside the date, the studio confirmed that the Ferrari F355 is one of the cars coming with it.
The Spec IV update was already known to be split into two parts, and this is the earlier of the pair. Beyond the release date and the F355, Polyphony has not laid out the full contents in detail, so the rest of the car list and any feature changes remain to be confirmed. Based on what has been said so far, Part 1 looks like the opening act, with the second part still to come at an unannounced date.
The F355 itself is a notable pick. It is a mid-’90s mid-engined Ferrari V8 that has been requested by GT players for years, and its arrival fills a long-standing gap in the game’s Ferrari lineup. Whether it comes in road form only, or with any variants, is not yet known.
For sim racers, the practical takeaway is simple. Spec updates have historically been the moments when GT7 adds meaningful content rather than small fixes, so October 15 is the date to watch if you play the game. At the same time, one confirmed car and a release date is all we have in hand right now. Treat anything beyond that as speculation until Polyphony publishes the full patch notes.
