Treasure Hunts are the weekly riddle-and-reward loop that Playground Games has run since the series’ earlier entries: you’re given a vague clue, you’re expected to work out roughly where on the map it points, and then you dig up a chest for credits or a car. Some people find them a pleasant excuse to drive somewhere they’d otherwise ignore. Others find them a chore standing between them and the season’s actual prizes, which is why guides like this exist at all. The Festival Playlist wraps the whole thing in a weekly checklist of events and challenges that reset on a timer, so the incentive to keep up is structural rather than organic.

Why it matters to sim racers: mostly, it doesn’t — Horizon 6 is an arcade racer with a festival wrapped around it, and nothing about digging up a treasure chest sharpens your trail braking. But the Horizon games remain one of the widest on-ramps into car culture that exists on console, and a meaningful slice of the sim community arrived through them. Worth knowing what your friends are grinding on a Thursday night, if nothing else.
