Simagic has pulled the cover off its first active pedal, the P-ACTIVE, and is bringing it to SimRacing Expo Frankfurt this weekend for hands-on testing.

The pedal joins a Simagic stand that also features officially licensed Aston Martin and KTM steering wheels, so the company is clearly treating the show as a showcase for its newest hardware rather than a quiet product listing. Traxion reports the P-ACTIVE will be available to sample on the show floor, which means the first real-world impressions should start trickling out from Frankfurt over the next few days.

Beyond that, hard details are thin. Simagic hasn’t shared pricing, a release date, force figures, or how the pedal’s active system actually behaves under braking, and we’re not going to guess at any of it. What we can say is that this is a meaningful step for the brand. Active pedals, which use a motor to push back against your foot and simulate things like ABS pulsing, brake fade, or changes in pedal travel, have so far been a niche corner of the market dominated by a small number of boutique makers at premium prices. Simagic entering that space signals the category is moving closer to the mainstream.

For sim racers, the practical takeaway is to wait and watch. An active pedal is a big investment, and the difference between a genuinely useful one and an expensive gimmick usually comes down to how well the force feedback is tuned and how broadly it’s supported across titles. Neither of those questions can be answered from a press announcement. If you’re at the expo this weekend, this is one to go and actually feel. If you’re not, the sensible move is to hold off on any excitement until independent testers get time with a production unit and Simagic puts a number on the price.
