Rennsport has confirmed that a KTM will be the first of three cars arriving in its upcoming Kings of the Ring content pack.

The announcement is not exactly a surprise. Traxion notes the KTM had already been signposted before this official confirmation, so this is the studio putting a formal stamp on something the community had largely pieced together. What we still do not know is the identity of the other two cars, the release date for the pack, or the price. Rennsport has only committed to the number three so far, and the remaining reveals will presumably trickle out over the coming weeks.

The pack’s name also hints at where the studio is aiming, but nothing in the confirmation spells out which circuit or series it is tied to, so treat any assumptions on that front as guesswork until Rennsport says more.

For sim racers, the honest read is that this is incremental. One car, already expected, in a pack we do not yet have a date for. Rennsport has spent a long time trying to move from an esports-first showcase to a platform with enough content to keep everyday drivers coming back, and paid DLC is a sign the studio wants to build out a proper catalogue rather than rely on a small launch roster. Whether that works depends on what the other two cars turn out to be, how much the pack costs, and whether the physics and multiplayer side keep pace with the content drops.

If you already own Rennsport and enjoy its KTM machinery, this is good news in the narrow sense. If you have been waiting for a reason to install it, one confirmed car is probably not it yet. Keep an eye out for the rest of the reveal.
