Rennsport teases LMDh Lamborghini for next content release

Rennsport has teased the Lamborghini SC63 Hypercar, which will apparently form part of a new content pack to be revealed at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.

Rennsport has given sim racers a first glimpse of the Lamborghini SC63, the Italian brand’s LMDh prototype, and it appears the car is headed for the platform’s next content pack. According to Traxion, the full reveal is set for SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt, with the Lamborghini shown as a teaser ahead of that announcement.

Details beyond that are thin. Rennsport has not said what else the pack contains, when it ships, or what it will cost. The teaser itself is just that: a tease, with the SC63 shown as a signal of what is coming rather than a full feature breakdown. Treat anything more specific as speculation until the Expo reveal lands.

Still, the choice of car tells you something. The SC63 is a current top-class prototype, and bringing it in suggests Rennsport wants to grow its endurance roster rather than lean on GT machinery alone. That matters because the platform’s early identity has been built around its official esports series and a comparatively small car list. If this pack adds a competitive LMDh, it opens the door to multiclass fields that feel closer to a modern WEC or IMSA grid.

For sim racers weighing whether Rennsport deserves their attention, this is a reasonable thing to watch. A single new car does not change a platform’s fortunes on its own. What will matter is how the SC63 drives, whether the physics and tyre model hold up against established prototype offerings elsewhere, and whether there are enough tracks and rivals to race it against. Rennsport has a history of promising more than it ships on schedule, so a confirmed release date would be more meaningful than a glossy render.

The Expo announcement should clear up most of that. Until then, this is a car to be cautiously interested in, not one to plan a league around.
