The Simagic Zeus Series is out, and Traxion’s verdict lands in a familiar place for the brand: strong value, but you’ll earn it. The lineup adds three new direct drive wheels, an optional modular MagicDash 4 DDU, and a proprietary wireless system Simagic calls AirLink for cable-free connections. On paper it’s an ambitious, feature-dense package aimed squarely at drivers who want a lot of hardware without paying flagship money elsewhere.

The catch, per Traxion’s review, is that the cleverness cuts both ways. Wrapping this much tech — modular dash, wireless link, multiple wheel options — into one ecosystem adds setup and fiddliness, which is where the “worth the extra work” framing comes from. The value is real, but it isn’t the plug-and-play kind. You trade some convenience for the price-to-performance win.

Why it matters to sim racers: Simagic has built its reputation on undercutting the big names while pushing spec sheets, and the Zeus Series continues that playbook. If you’re the type who enjoys tuning, tinkering, and squeezing the most out of a rig, that trade-off likely reads as a feature rather than a flaw. If you’d rather buy once and race immediately, it’s worth going in with clear eyes about the learning curve. AirLink in particular is interesting — proprietary wireless can be a genuine cockpit-tidying upgrade, but proprietary also means you’re locked to Simagic’s implementation, for better or worse.

Bottom line: another aggressive value play from Simagic, with the usual asterisk. The bang for buck is there if you’re willing to put in the hours to unlock it.
