Super Woden: Rally Edge has a console release date: 2nd September, when it lands on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. If you prefer your games on a shelf rather than a storefront, boxed editions for PS5 and Switch are coming a month or so later, in October.

That’s the whole announcement — a date for the digital release and a slightly later window for the physical runs — so we won’t pad it out with speculation about content or pricing that hasn’t been confirmed.

Why should a sim racing audience care about a game with “Super Woden” in the title? Because rally is chronically underserved right now. With EA’s WRC future murky and the genre’s heavyweights ageing, smaller rally titles are doing a lot of the work of keeping the discipline visible, and the Super Woden games have built a loyal following doing exactly that on a budget. This isn’t a physics-first simulator and nobody should pretend otherwise — but plenty of sim racers keep something lighter installed for the evenings when setting up a full rig feels like a second job, and a rally game you can play on a Switch fits that slot neatly.

The physical editions are a small detail worth noting too. Boxed releases for niche racing games have become rare, and when they do happen they tend to sell through quickly and hold their value. If you’re the kind of racer who still likes owning cartridges and discs, October is the date to watch rather than September.
