Clipping Point

Privacy Policy

What Clipping Point does and doesn't collect, and how ads and affiliate links work here.

Last updated: July 2026

Short version: I don’t want your data and I’m not building a profile on you. There’s no login, no account, no newsletter you got signed up for without asking. Here’s the honest detail anyway, because ad networks and the law both want it spelled out.

What gets collected

Nothing personal, directly. You can read every article here without handing over a thing. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may log aggregate stuff like which pages get visited, rough country, and whether you’re on mobile or desktop, so I can tell which guides are actually useful. None of it identifies you.

Cookies and ads

This site may run ads through third-party networks, including Google AdSense. Those networks can use cookies to show ads based on your past visits to this and other sites. That’s standard across the web, and here’s how to opt out if you’d rather they didn’t:

  • Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits here and elsewhere.
  • You can turn off personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of third-party ad cookies more broadly at aboutads.info/choices.

Some links here are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission if you buy through them. That’s covered in full on the affiliate disclosure page.

Your call

Block or clear cookies anytime in your browser settings. The site works fine without them.
