Why “starting points” and not exact numbers
Force feedback is personal, and it changes car to car. Anyone who hands you a single “correct” set of numbers is selling something. What actually works is starting from a sane baseline for your base’s torque and your sim’s quirks, then tuning by feel over a few sessions.
The one rule that matters everywhere: turn your base strength up until the strongest forces — big kerbs, lock-ups, hard impacts — stop getting louder. That flat ceiling is clipping, and it’s hiding detail. Back off a touch from there and you’ve found your ceiling. Everything else is taste.
